Leading men has been a forte of John M. MacGregor since youth.  This polished cosmopolite was born in the prairie hamlet of Minnewaukan, ND, and grew up in Oregon, where his father was a lumberman.  After graduating high school, he served the US Navy in WWI.  Attended University of Oregon, while there President of the Chapter, President of IFC and President of the Student Body.  After undergraduate studies, recieved law degree from New York University.  In WWII he served four years, first as chief of legal branch, Chemical Warfare Section in the U.S., then as intelligence officer studying war damage in Philippines, Japan and China.  Last post was Executive Officer to General Loucks in Tokyo.  Only member of Alpha Tau Omega to hold the three highest posts in the Fraternity.
